MISA is on the lookout for 5 Executives for our Executive Committee for the year 2012!

- We hold several business networking events annually such as MISA Mixer, InfoTech Night, Careers in MIS and Future of MIS to give students a chance to mingle with industry professionals and improve on their networking skills.

President
Duration: 3 semesters
Duties:
- Oversee the operation and development of MISA’s Website with the Director of Information Systems
- Formulate and support digital and social initiatives to support MISA’s strategic focus;
- Prepares annual Event Schedule, and revise the schedule at the beginning of every semester
- Represent MISA to Faculty, BASS, and Industry
Vice President
Duration: 3 semesters
Duties:
- Represent MISA to Industry
- With President, prepare and revise an annual Event Schedule
- Seek out funding for approved MISA events
- Prepare annual budget according to the Event Schedule
- Seek out speakers for networking events (ie. MISA MIXer)
- With President, oversee succession process of next board
- Oversee payment and reimbursement of funds
Director of Internal Relations
Duration: 2 semesters
Duties:
- Represent MISA to Faculty and BASS
- Seek out speakers for Internal events (ie. CATT tutorials)
- Recruit Directors on a semesterly basis, and Project Managers for larger scale events, as needed
- With President, oversee succession process of next board
Director of Marketing
Duration: 2 semesters
Duties:
- Promote MISA and MISA events to the faculty and student population at SFU through digital and face-to-face interaction
- With Director of Internal Relations, encourage students to become executives and project managers within MISA
- Develop promotional and informational materials for MISA
- Work with Director of Information Systems to maintain an up-to-date and informative website, poster board spaces and the mailing lists
Director of Information Systems
Duration: 2 semesters
Duties:
- Actively seek out new ways of using technology to further MISA and our values
- Make reports to the membership on promising new technology and developing sectors
- Keeps minutes of meetings and posts them on the website
- Maintains MISA poster boards in accordance to the requests of the Director of Marketing
- Maintains a membership list and sign-in list at meetings;
